After a gruelling 5-month schedule, the fifth edition of the Indian Super League (ISL) is set to come to an end. Last year's runners-up Bengaluru FC will face FC Goa at the freshly re-laid Mumbai Football Arena in a bid to be crowned ISL champions. The final clash will see the first and second placed team during the league stage take on each other as they look to be called the league’s best.

Both teams are yet to win the ISL in their history. Goa were the runners up in 2015, while Bengaluru came in second last season. Interestingly both teams lost their final to the same side (Chennaiyin FC). Bengaluru have been solid at the back throughout the season while relying on the goals from captain Sunil Chhetri. Meanwhile, Goa has scored the maximum goals with Ferran Corominas leading the line with 16 goals.

BFC coach Cuadrat, however, has dismissed the talk about his team as the favourite, saying that both finalists have a chance to win the title.

“I don’t see our team as being favourites. There are a lot of factors involved in a final match. Both teams have arrived with very similar numbers, same number of wins, draws and losses (league phase).”

However, BFC has the advantage over Goa after winning both the league encounters between the sides. But now they will be hoping to make it three at the most crucial stage of the league.
